Net Impact Scheller College of Business – MBA believes the business sector is critical in driving positive social and environmental change and that an inclusive and environmental perspective is best for business. Our purpose is to provide knowledge, develop skill sets, host events, and facilitate connections for all our members in their pursuit of this vision.
The Club is an active gold-status chapter of the global Net Impact parent organization. We are a “one MBA” club, comprised of members from Scheller MBA full-time, evening and executive programs.
Net Impact has three primary goals for the 2019-2020 school year:
- Educate future leaders about the role of sustainability and social responsibility in business and build skills to make a case for its incorporation in business practices.
- Provide networking opportunities for MBA students interested in sustainability or CSR-related careers.
- Reduce the net environmental impact of Scheller College of Business and the broader Georgia Tech ecosystem.
We will accomplish these goals through monthly meetings, career panels with industry leaders, site-visits at a variety of Atlanta-based companies, and inter-club programming. Net Impact also provides members with the opportunity to gain nonprofit board experience through the Board Fellows program. Additionally, Net Impact and the Ray C. Anderson Center provide financial and logistical support for members to attend industry conferences and compete in case competitions focused on sustainability and social responsibility.
Whether you are pursuing a career in the field or are a future leader interested in understanding the growing importance of sustainability and social responsibility for businesses, we encourage you to join Net Impact or reach out to learn more.
